It started early in the 1920s. At a market square by Strömmen stood fisherman's daughter Lisa Elmqvist, surrounded by a rapidly growing crowd of customers. Her fish, seafood, and cooking skills were such that she quickly ended up where her abilities could be fully appreciated – at Östermalm's Market Hall.
Today, more than 90 years later, the 4th generation of the Elmqvist family continues tirelessly at the same location, with ever-growing experience and ambitions.
